Today went so well.
Everything was really laid back. Makily was in a WONDERFUL mood. She got lots of presents and was loved on all day long. Just want the Princess deserves.
I have had a few of you ask where we get Makily's clothes. I am a shopper when it comes to dressing her! I love to look and find JUST the perfect dress for her. The "bee" dress in her photo shoot was from Bealls, it was 40% off. I almost never buy ANYTHING full price unless it's SCREAMING at me to come get it. The dress she has on in today's pics actually was $7.99 at a local consignment shop I love. Some of the hair things I have made, had made for her or bought off ebay.

My gosh, she has the most beautiful hair! It looks like she had a great birthday.
That sucks about the MicKey buttons. We have had a couple defective ones but never that many in a row! I wonder if one of her medications is weakening the balloon? I know they always ask me for a list of my Peanut's meds when I call with a complaint.
I hope you can come up with a solution soon!

Hi, I'm new to your blog. The pics were so pretty. Your daughter really is beautiful. We have had so many issues with my son's mic-key buttons. We've been experimenting with sizes to try and control his leaking. He's also had a terrible time with getting the stoma to heal and he's had his tube for over a year now. Our peds surgeon was looking at the AMT button as a possible alternative. He places a non balloon AMT that comes in a capsule and is NOT put in with an obturator. You slip it in like a mic-key and pull a string out of the center port that splits the gel capsule allowing the mushroom to open inside the stomach. The capsule just dissolves in the stomach. I'm kind of afraid though because if he leaks around it there's no balloon I can adjust to try and get a better seal. My son was breaking balloons alot too so our GI put him back on a small dose of zantac each day to lessen his stomach acid some and that has helped. I can now get a couple of months out of each button. Have you gotten her AMT yet? If so, how do you like it?
